How to Earn More Repeat and Referred Business
Marketing to past customers is an easy way to get more business at very low cost. Not only are past clients likely to purchase more services from you, but also they will connect you to their friends, neighbors and family who might need your help too.
What are some ways to nurture past clients into a network that continually supports your business?
Stay in touch. Make a plan to communicate with your past clients right after your spring season rush to remind them of your company and all of your services. Develop those marketing materials this winter, so they're ready when you're busy. Don't be tempted to send these during the off-season. They're more effective when customers are in the mood to buy.
Build a referral plan. Don't just hope past clients share the positive buzz about your services. Get them to recommend you proactively more often. Good referral marketing reminds past clients that you're looking for additional great clients and provides them with information to share with their friends. Offer an incentive to both the customer and their friend to nudge the referral too.
