How Landscape Leaders Can Be More Productive

Wow, there’s a lot to do in a day. How do you stay on-task?

Here are some best practices to stay organized and productive:

Communicate. Good leaders keep everyone in the loop (customers, team members). Plus, it’s a great way to keep others motivated and engaged.

Eat the frog early. Schedule early time for the unpleasant to-do’s that you’re likely to let slide. Block time to make progress on big projects, so that they get completed one-bite-at-a-time.

Work ahead. If you’re not planning what’s happening next week, or working to keep your pipeline full, you’re already sunk. Take advantage of your productivity bursts to check a few things more off the list.

Use checklists. There’s a reason pilots and surgeons rely on them: they keep you from forgetting things or steps. Develop some in your business.

Find some quiet time. Take advantage of those quiet moments in the day, early in the morning or late in the evening when new ideas seem to happen. Solutions come to mind that can make a big difference. Keep a notepad handy.

Focus on the big picture. Frustrations and roadblocks eventually get worked through. Sometimes set them aside and come back to them with fresh eyes. Solutions appear and storms pass.

Find your rhythm and what works for you. Here’s to a productive month!

Three Things That Help New Customers Choose YOU

Facing customers who are uncertain or reluctant to commit? Maybe they need some help in making the right choice.

Make Things Simple and Clear - Customers don’t have time to make complex decisions or learn the details. Remove the clutter, avoid the confusion and tell them simply and clearly what you do, the problem you solve and how you can help them. Provide customers with a simple and clear process to engage with your company, preferably really good forms and scheduling tools on-line. The more complicated you make it, the more frustrated new customers will get and the more likely they won't want to work with you.

Coach New Clients Through the Process – Stand out from competitors by guiding clients past uncertainty and indecision. Clients don’t know everything you know, and are prone to make incorrect choices or bad decisions. Clients seek out and do business with the people and brands they trust and they will trust those who coach and guide them. Now more than ever, coach your customers, earn their trust and build a great business.

Build Clients' Confidence That Your Company is the Right Choice - Your customer wants to feel good about their decision. Demonstrate to them why they made the right decision by showcasing your credibility, competence and results. Show them what to expect with your service. Show them how you deliver great results. Show them how they will be satisfied.
