Greetings!

When was the last time you thought about efficiency?

Efficiency is "getting more done in less time with less effort", there is always room for improvement.   Examples of common ways to capture more efficiency include:

  • Smoothing job workflow avoid wasted time by having all steps planned.
  • Eliminating extra steps example: setting estimate appointments as customers call.
  • Making sure the job is done right, avoiding re-work and call-backs.
  • Investing in labor-saving tools and equipment.
  • Using pre-assembled components or other labor-savers

Enemies of good efficiency include:

  • Workmanship that's rushed and falsely-labeled "good enough."  It just leads to rework or a damaged reputation.
  • Sub-standard components or poor performing sub-contractors.

Exploding the Myth:  Do Deep Socket Fittings or Improper Application of Solvent Cement Cause Pipe Joint Failure?

Irrigation systems really take a beating.  Solvent-cemented joints are particularly vulnerable.  Every time water bangs through a pipe, it slams into corner fittings with the pressure of the entire system behind it.  This can loosen the fitting from the pipe, or worse, cause it to pop right off, gushing water everywhere.

Do longer sockets help solve this problem?  Learn more by downloading this informative article from LASCO Fittings.
