Our Story
MPR Supply Company was founded in 1991 by Mike Hartman, Peggy Cox, Mike Delman, and Rob Clouser. Mike Hartman was unhappy at his current job in the landscape supply industry. He proposed the idea of beginning his own landscape supply business to an old friend from junior high, Mike Delman.
Mike D. was not interested in investing in the new business idea, but Mike D.’s mother, Carol, suggested that Mike H. ask her daughter Peggy to join him. Peggy agreed to support Mike H. in his business venture, along with Rob Clouser, who Mike H. met while playing college golf at UMSL.
The team that started MPR Supply Company in 1991 is the same team that is still growing the business today, including: Jim Osborne, Outside Sales (33 years); Bill Blackard, Service Manager (33 years); Steve Leu, Sales Manager (28 years); Craig Pisarkiewicz – Drip Irrigation Sales (26 years); Ken Walser, Inside Sales (30 years); Bryan Geisler, Inside Sales, (26 years).
Sadly, Peggy passed away about 10 years ago, but the team has continued to make MPR Supply Company one of the best businesses in the industry. Through the flood of 1993, the recession in 2007, the tragic loss of a business partner and friend, and the COVID-19 pandemic, MPR Supply Company has weathered every storm it’s faced and remained committed to supplying their contractors and customers with highest quality landscape related materials, including outdoor lighting, irrigation, drainage, artificial turf and more.
With over 275 years of combined experience on their team, MPR Supply Company assists contractors, homeowners, and DIYers with projects of all types and sizes.
